Lineage II: The Chaotic
Throne,one of the world’s most played
PC Online Game, was launched in Malaysia with
much fanfare recently at the Mid Valley’s
Exhibition Hall on the 8th and 9th of September
2007.
Lineage II was officially launched
by Jason Yap (CEO of Cube Tech Asia Sdn. Bhd.),
Mohan Low (General Manager of Cube Tech Asia
Sdn. Bhd.), Michael Hong (Senior Manager of
Cube Tech Asia Sdn. Bhd.) and Cristy E Dela
Cruz (Head of Business Development for AMDG,
Philippines). A press conference was also
held to field questions from the Members of
the Press, which included print and broadcast
media, and they were also invited to experience
first hand the largest MMORPG to be hosted
in the region.
“Lineage II SEA is a highly anticipated
MMORPG that has a worldwide subscriber base
of 14 Million players and commands a dominant
45% share of the MMORPG market in the Asia-Pacific
region… only a few other MMO’s
can stand-up to Lineage II’s standard
of quality.” said Cristy E Dela Cruz,
Head of Business Development for AMDG.
During the Launch Event, players were treated
to free game time and also to various mini
games in which they could win Lineage II
T Shirts, limited edition Lineage II posters,
and also speakers and headphones generously
sponsored by Sonic Gear. There was even
the Lucky 25 competition in which players
stood to win prizes if they can get to level
25 in Lineage II!
In addition to that, the carnival like
atmosphere was further enhanced by specially
invited bands, namely Masquerade, Shoelace
Untied, Source of Misery and The Fugitives,
who played their hearts out, much to the
delight of a large, appreciative and boisterous
crowd.
All in all, the activities and the large
turnout of the event made it a huge success.
