AsianMedia appoints CubeTech Asia for Malaysia and Singapore. |

LINEAGE 2, one of the world’s most popular massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG), is all set
to conquer new territories in Southeast Asia.
CubeTech Asia Sdn Bhd (CubeTech) and Asian Media Development Group (AsianMedia) has inked a distribution deal
for Singapore and Malaysia to distribute the “Triple A” MMORPG title, Lineage 2. The move is in line with
CubeTech Asia Sdn Bhd’s mission to bring in high quality content to the region.
This is the first time that gaming giants NCSoft, developers of Lineage 2, has issued a Publishing License to
a non-subsidiary company.
Recently, CubeTech Chief Executive Officer Jason Yap expressed his excitement on his company’s appointment.
“We are very excited to work with Asian Media in launching Lineage 2 in Malaysia and Singapore. We look
forward to making it the biggest MMORPG in the region.”
With the deal sealed, CubeTech anticipates a deluge of patronage from both Malaysian and Singaporean markets.
The expected support from the new territories adds to the already expansive reach of the Lineage franchise,
which currently has over 55 million people worldwide within its clout. Lineage 2 boasts of a subscriber base
of 14 million and owns 45% of the MMORPG market share in the Asia-Pacific region.
“We believe that CubeTech is the best company to handle Lineage 2 distribution in Singapore and Malaysia
because of their commitment and passion to make it the number one online game in Southeast Asia,” said
AsianMedia Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Arturo B. Diago Jr.

Established in November 1999, AsianMedia is the largest PC games distributor in the Philippines. It is the
official Philippine partner of NCsoft through its exclusive distribution and hosting rights of NCSoft’s
Lineage 2 franchise in Philippines, Malaysia ands Singapore.
